Visit Mosta World War II

The shelter that skirts the Mosta church parvis, was dug by hand in 1940 by 15 highly-skilled workmen. This was used during World War Two by families to protect themselves during the many and continuous air raids.

After many years this shelter has been reopened for visitors and includes an exhibition related to Malta in the war years. Going down the shelter steps one gets that feeling of travelling back in time to the days when Mosta experienced daily bombardments.

There is a charge of €3 visit Mosta Dome and the Shelter.
